Sharpstown Area Weekend Events: 4/27-4/28/24
Plenty is happening in the Sharpstown area this weekend, including a community market, a shrimp and crawfish boil, a bazaar, and a free pet vaccine event.
Saturday, April 27
9 AM - 1 PM: Bayou City Community Market in Westbury Baptist Church Parking Lot
This local farmers' and artisans' market happens on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month. The website advertises "in-season farmer's produce, food vendors, local honey, artisan goods, bakery & prepared foods & more."
This Saturday, the market organizers will be accepting donations of hygiene and cleaning products to benefit Neff Elementary and Welch Middle School.

6-9 PM: Crawfish & Shrimp Boil at St. Francis de Sales Church
The event flyer advertises "hamburgers, hotdogs, family, friends, music, margaritas, and beer"—plus shrimp for $13/lb and crawfish for $12/lb.

Sunday, April 28
10 AM - 3 PM: Free Pet Vaccines at Burnett Bayland Park Community Center
The nonprofit Petco Love is offering "free distemper vaccines and microchips for owned pets" in partnership with District J, Harris County Precinct 4, the Sharpstown Civic Association, the Gulfton Management District, HPARD, and HOPE, according to the event flyer.
Each household can bring up to four pets total (cats or dogs). Registration is required ahead of time.

11 AM - 8 PM: Bazaar at St. Francis de Sales Church
The event flyer advertises food and drinks, live music, and children's rides and games–plus a live auction at 1:30 PM.
