There's an updated article with info for July 11:

As nearly 1.4 million Houston-area CenterPoint customers wait for electricity, the National Weather Service has issued another heat advisory for Houston, forecasting a heat index of 106 on Wednesday. If you're stuck in Southwest Houston without AC, food, or water, help is available. See below for a list of local cooling centers, food and water distribution centers, and even an American Red Cross shelter open today (7/10/24).
If you don’t have transportation, you can call 3-1-1 to request a free ride to an official cooling center, according to the City of Houston.

Time for a reader poll: who has power back, and who’s still waiting for it? My power and most of CCT3 South's came back on Monday night, but I’ve heard several other Sharpstown neighbors are still waiting.
